Wonderful memories of my Journey to Japan
I have already spent more than two weeks in Japan and this is my fourth visit within two years. Nevertheless, the beginning of term is next week indeed so I can only share my fantastic travel experience with you instead of introducing my exchange university (Sophia University, Tokyo).
My first stop was in Kyoto. What impressed me most were the beautiful gardens, shrines and traditional wooden buildings there as well as the pleasing atmosphere. During the one-week stay in Kyoto, I had been living in Airbnb with a lovely host and other tourists from all over the world. This is an easy way to help you get used to local Japanese life.
Here are some of the photos for the scenic spots I have been to such as Kiyomizu Shrine and Arashiyama. It was early spring and the temperature was warm but it was a pity that the cherry trees hadn’t blossomed yet.
And those food has highlighted my life !! They were extremely delicious so that sometimes I had to queue for 2 hours.
Then I went to Tokyo by Shinkansen, which only took me 2 hours. Tokyo is one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world and you can buy almost everything here so you don’t need to bring too much luggage here.
If you get tired of urban life after a few months in Tokyo, you can take a short train journey to Hakone or Kamakura, and there is a direct train from the the train station near Soshigaya International Student House (Seijogakuen-mae Station).
I was lucky to see snowing on the mountain in Spring!
Overall, this journey has left me a wonderful memory and I am looking forward to Uni life in Sophia University!
